The distance, time and physical limitations of travel between a patient's home and hearing clinic can be uncomfortable to overcome.  Sometimes access to reliable or available transportation is limited and hard to ask for.  When a provider does not offer an alternative method of treatment you have a fragmentation of health care.  This breakdown in health care can easily be overcome by taking advantage of the many benefits of telehealth.  For starters, telehealth is particularly beneficial for our patients in medically underserved communities where specialized hearing health care shortages exist.  This allows for a broader range of individuals to have access to care which can make a huge impact on the number of people who need hearing aids but don't have them.  Many patients believe the convenience and the real-time care an Ocean Wave Hearing Health provider can provide on-line is just as beneficial as an in-person visit and something our patients love.  And, we do it by using the latest in clinical software that meets worldwide security requirements.  Telehealth improves the performance, coordination, and convenience of our mission.

VIRTUAL PATIENT ENDORSEMENT APPOINTMENT

When you choose Ocean Wave Hearing we come to a mutual agreement that both your time and investment are equally important, so we don't waste either of them.  That is why we have a brief virtual endorsement appointment with you first so that you can hear information about our cost and services before we ask for a welcome invitation into your home.

STEP 1

Complete the Patient Endorsement Survey

STEP 2
After filling out and submitting the patient endorsement survey contact form you will receive an email containing our online scheduler.  Schedule a time from those that are available that works best for you.  Be advised, you will need a PC or MAC computer or laptop with Chrome or Safari, tablet or smartphone (Android or IOS) with a strong internet connection and a pair of headphones if possible to participate.

STEP 3
After you schedule your appointment you will receive another email with a link to join for that particular date and time.  Feel free to share this link with a friend or family member who would like to participate.  This is a brief 15-20 minute introductory appointment that gives the patient and family member an opportunity to meet the provider that will be going into your home or place of business.  Very important details about cost and services will be communicated at this appointment.  so that you can decide whether to schedule your in-person comprehensive hearing examination next.

STEP 4
At your appointment time, you will click on the link and go to the Ocean Wave Hearing Online Appointment Room to meet your hearing provider.  Your hearing provider will:

  • Introduce themselves to you

  • Go over the Patient Endorsement Survey with you

  • Share the cost of the hearing aids that are most suitable for your lifestyle, features, and benefits endorsement choices

  • Collect your health insurance information

  • Apply for financing or leasing, if needed

  • Schedule & explain the procedures of the comprehensive in-home hearing examination
